WORSHIP AT FIRST ENGLISH LUTHERAN IS VITAL TO THE GROWTH OF OUR FAITH.
8:00AM TRADITIONAL WORSHIP SERVICE
This is our more traditional worship service. We have an organ, a choir, traditional liturgy, Holy Communion, and a message relevant to today. You might also find a handbell special in this service as well.
9:15AM SUNDAY SCHOOL
This hour each week is a time of fellowship and a time of study. We have classes for all ages and a variety of topics. While most of our classes meet at 9:15 on Sundays we do have classes that meet on other days of the week as well. Those additional groups mostly meet in the evenings.
10:30AM BLENDED WORSHIP SERVICE
This is our more blended worship service. We have an a worship band, sometimes a choir, less formal liturgy, Holy Communion, and a message relevant to today. You might also find a handbell special in this service as well.

We Only Have Two
BAPTISM Baptism is not just plain water, but it is the water included in God’s command and combined with God’s word. Christ our Lord says in the last chapter of Matthew: “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” (Matt. 28:19)
It works forgiveness of sins, rescues from death and the devil, and gives eternal salvation to all who believe this, as the words and promises of God declare. Christ our Lord says in the last chapter of Mark: “Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.” (Mark 16:16)
COMMUNION We believe that Holy Communion is a moment between you and the God who saves you. It is the partaking in His body and His blood for the restoration of you to your Creator. Jesus’ words make it so, not the bread and the wine itself. By His words and your confession of sin, you are redeemed and joined in communion with Jesus.

Fellowship Ministries AT FELC
- FIFTY AND FUN. If you are 50+ and you are looking for a fun way to meet people that enjoy having a good time and enjoy spending time together, then this is the group for you.
- POLKA SUNDAY. A one time per year special event that brings our Polka Friends from Shiner to the church to help lead worship. We follow this event with a time of fellowship and a traditional German meal.
- CONGREGATION LIFE. We believe that the life of our congregation is more than just coming to worship. We regularly have additional events to have time to get to know our fellow church members and guests and grow together in our faith community.
- BBQ TEAM. Our BBQ team plays a vital role in our church, They help cater most of the big meals that we have and they always do an amazing job, They are always adding to their numbers as well. Call the office for more information.
