First English Lutheran Church's Annual Heritage Day Celebration will take place on Sunday, September 23, 2012 at the Hiller Activity Center at First English. The 2012 Heritage Day Celebration will be celebrating 99 years of ministry at First English Lutheran Church. Heritage Day is a celebration remembering our heritage as the first English-speaking church in the Victoria Area.
First English Lutheran Church gives back to the community every year through the Heritage Day Celebration. The Celebration is a way for members of the congregation to reach outside our church walls and spread God's Word & Message. 100% of all proceeds generated at the Heritage Day Celebration are given back to the community.
The 2012 Heritage Day Celebration will honor 5 recipients. Here are the recipients being honored: Bluebonnet Youth Ranch, The Vine School, The Tanner & Bailey Fox Scholarship Fund, VCAM (Victoria Chrisitan Assistance Ministry), & the FELC Heritage Day Community Assistance Fund.
First English Lutheran's World Famous BBQ Brisket & Sausage, with pinto beans, cole slaw, German potatoes, and all the trimmings will be served for lunch on Celebration Sunday. There is a Live & Silent Auction taking place at the Heritage Day Celebration. There also is a Country Store, Cake Walk, & Kid's Games taking place.
Please mark Sunday, September 23, 2012 on your calendar for the 2012 Heritage Day Celebration. Don't miss out on all the food and festivities! First English is blessed to be a blessing to others, and that is certainly true this year as all the funds generated will be given to others.
